Nice. what's the story behind these. Did you take them on your road trip you just got off of?

My immdediate reaction is what can I do with those spaces. What can I do as a consumer to make money off of those abandon spaces. I could sell pies? Watermelon.

Funny, I have some watermelon shots, too. These were taken on the trip from Tallahassee to Huntsville. Primarily between Cottondale, FL and Dothan and Troy, AL. My guess is that there's a reason these spaces are vacant. Most folks just pass through on the way to the beach, only stopping for gas. "Honey, do you want to stop at Dixieland Pump and Pay or should we wait on a BP?"

I love this side of America because it's so foreign. And there's an honesty and humility there. This is the Alabama that people poke fun at, not the one I grew up in. I envy the fact that the coolest car in town is driven by a mechanic, not a soccer mom. But I'm sure if I grew up there I'd feel different. I'd probably get ripped on meth and take that soccer mom in the trunk of her car back into the woods to do my thing. Then that Lexus'd be all mine.

These are really great! Perfect title, too. I may post some abandoned place shots on here this weekend just to keep up the theme. Like sharpelbow, I'm a big fan. Glad you're back shostopa.
