Lifecycle of a Free Society

From Bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.

Liberalism takes hold, for any free society, once abundance is apparent. It's all downhill from there!

Where do you think America is at this time?

I would like to know what has made you so angry. It seems that you have projected a lot of your frustrations onto a rather large group of people with differing views on issues. A person who has more progressive views on immigration may share some of your views on smaller government. Each bring a unique individual perspective. It just seems strange that you would feel so adamant about fighting the "liberal" windmill when it really does'nt exist. Yes, the congress and state legislatures’ members are assigned to specific parties, but that does not mean that they all think the same way. It seems that it would be good for you to have some attention to the cause of your real anger. Perhaps you are constantly trying to maintain dysfunctional relationships like I seem to do too often. Or maybe you are fighting childhood scars. Perhaps your life has not turned out as good as you would have liked. Whatever your anger source, you are not alone. I can sense that there is a spirit in you that is trying to get out. A spirit that wants to learn more and become stronger. It will take an asserted effort to leave behind prejudices, the past, bitterness, and anger. I appreciate that you feel strongly, but it is the emotion of anger that tends to make us all distort our views and in effect, create a larger-than-life nemesis. I am confident that you will be free some day. We are not here on this planet to judge but to be unified in community.
