No more.

G. L. Lee will be deleted from the Borg Group if he continues his right wing propaganda. This is not a forum for bashing anyone. Thanks for playing but if you want to be a part of this experiment you should try and focus on expressing yourself in other ways. Creativity is the key here. This is not a political forum. If you want to write about politics try writing about it creatively. Not forcing your opinions or definitions of already defined English words on anyone. Not here. Everyones viewpoint is valid here and you do not seem to value anyone else's at this point in time unless they agree with you.

Why not start Gay bashing next?

I don't want this forum becoming entrenched with negativity. It seems to have taken a sour note lately. If you want to contribute, try focusing on art, creativity, personal reflection on life and how to better live it.

I should have pulled you to the side and emailed you versus commenting on a post. This is not a place for politics. I ignored it at first because it was interesting, but to continue to do all of your posts about how the right is correct and the left is immature tree huggers is just not something I want to see on this blog.

If any other contributers feel differently please tell me and I will change my opninion.

It just seems like it turned from an art forum to a political forum in one week, and that was not what this blog was created for.

no offense intended. I enjoyed meeting you. I hope we can continue this experiment but in different ways.

thanks.....

I, for one, don't mind a spirited political debate, so long as it remains friendly and civilized. However, I would challenge you, G.L., to construct posts that really cause the reader to take an introspective look at something, a word, idea, perspective, image, etc. which you have placed under the microscope for him/her to view. Your posts today were rapid fire. One after the next after the next. Who can absorb all of that at once? What is the point of such an onslaught?

I like to check this discussion out a couple times a day just to see who is saying what. In doing so, I have found that the interest is in the various voices. Why not give us a topic and then just lay back. See who sinks their teeth in; see what they have to say. Reply if and when it is warranted, let the post speak for itself when it is not. Keep in mind that this isn't a competition.

I don't want to see you excluded from this group any more than I wanted to see Vallario leave it. If you want to label me a liberal for caring about the group as a whole, so be it. If you want to label me a conservative for caring about the individual voices within this group, so be it. I believe that my responses to you have been neither liberal nor conservative. I hope that I have challenged you to think harder about your sources of information (as in the WMD post) and the structure of your concepts (as in the definition post). If not, then the failure may well be mine.

When this blog began, I didn't know what to make of it. I posted a couple entries about my life. I recall an early one about skateboarding. There were some photos of the sky that came in a series. They were just the images I happened to be collecting. Then I got interested in graffiti and started to share that as well. Byron and I had a little debate over Banksy and the virtues versus the sins of property defacement. I ended up feeling that the graffiti posts needed some support so I looked for historical tid bits to relate them to along with a few corresponding modern thoughts. In this way I have begun to find my own voice within the borg.

I am in no way suggesting that you ape my approach. I just offer it as an example of how a voice without a body can come to have an identity all its own. You may not care for my photographs and observations, but like your own entries, they are not poetry. My question for you is this: What identity will you choose for yourself in this community, G.L.? Will you assimilate into this collective like one of the immigrants you have defined or will you hop the border and trounce on the foundation we've been building like one of the illegals for whom you have shown so much distaste?

Why not try to learn the language? I promise, if you stick around you'll find that everyone isn't writing poetry.

I did read the blog K. That's why I was so hesitant to post to begin with... it was only done under your coaxing.
